                                       CAMP DIRECTOR  

With over 33 years of camping experience at the Richmond Hill Country Club Day Camp, Jay’s passion for camp is in his DNA.  Holding a variety of positions over the years (Counsellor, Drama Specialist, Nature Specialist, and Program Director for many years), Jay is extremely familiar with every aspect of RHCC Day Camp.

Jay plays a key role in communication, policies and procedures as well as recruitment. Jay’s extensive training in leadership development aids his hand-on approach as he guides the Senior Team to train and equip our entire staff with the tools to support the needs of our campers. 

During the school year, Jay is a principal with the York Region District School Board which gives him a wealth of experience dealing with issues arising with campers of all ages.  His work in the field of children and leadership has been recognized as the recipient of “Canada’s Outstanding Principal” in 2019.

Jay is always available to answer questions from parents, campers and staff.

                                    ENROLMENT DIRECTOR 

Dante has spearheaded our move to an online registration platform, allowing parents the comfort of registering for camp 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.  Summer Camp is just one area that Dante oversees as Enrolment Director, as he is involved in membership services and tennis department at the Country Club for the past 15 years.

Dante is our go to person for parents who require help with registration and payment for camp.

                                     CAMP ADMINISTRATOR 

Wendy has been part of the full time staff at the Richmond Hill Country Club Day for the past 30 years.  Wendy is involved in answering questions about the camp, as well as the administration of campers’ registration and staff paperwork.

Wendy is instrumental in communicating with parents, staff and campers on a daily basis and is available to answer any questions relating to registration and the operations of camp.

        ASST HEAD OF LEADERSHIP AND TRAINING

 For Jamie, RHCC Day Camp has been her summer home for 12 years, spending summers as a camper then as a counsellor, the Head of Swim and in her current role as Assistant Head of Leadership and Training.  In her current role, Jamie guides and mentors our next generation of staff in the CIT program, as well as supporting campers and staff to gain the most out of their camp experience. Given her extensive camp experience at RHCC Day Camp and her as a teacher in the York Region DSB, she is excited to be returning this summer where she is looking forward  to helping campers reach their maximum potential and create lifelong memories! 

                    HEAD OF LEADERSHIP & PROGRAMMING 

Mitch has been involved in the camp for over 22 years, working his way up as counsellor, specialty head, unit head and Assistant Program Director.  As Head of Programming & Operations, Mitch can be  found leading flag and lunch games, working with our specialty staff on programming and creating special theme days.  Mitch also can be seen supporting our campers who need a little extra TLC.  When Mitch is not at RHCC Day Camp, he is working as a teacher in the York Region District School Board.

             HEAD OF LEADERSHIP AND PROGRAMMING

Mahjoob, also known around camp as May, has spent five fabulous summers in a variety of positions at RHCC Day Camp, first as a counsellor, then as Unit Head of our Sports Camp and most recently as the Head of Leadership &  Programming.   As head of leadership & Programming, Mahjoob bring her infectious spirit to our energizers at Morning Flag and in and around camp programming.  Her wealth of experience in working with children as a teacher in the York Region DSB or as a mom herself, she is really looking forward to working with staff and campers to create memories that will last a lifetime.
